Plato Leather is a professional brand under Asialoong New Materials (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., specializing in medical-grade and high-performance functional leather. Founded in 2018 by Dr. Jiang Zhiyue, a PhD in Materials Science, the brand was born at the Shenzhen Nanshan Digital Culture Industry Base. Its early research focused on the antiviral and antibacterial mechanisms of novel functional additives such as silver ions, graphene, nano zinc oxide, and quaternary ammonium salts, with the goal of applying them in the medical materials field. Thanks to its excellent environmental performance and functional efficacy, the related technological achievements were widely adopted as core epidemic prevention materials during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, Plato Leather pioneered the integration of mature antibacterial technology into medical leather formulations, and its products began to be stably supplied to high-end hospital projects at home and abroad. Products consistently meet the following professional technical standards: High-Efficiency Antibacterial Compliant with ISO 22196, ISO 20743-2021, GB/T 31402-2015, GB/T 34951-2017, and other standards, achieving effective inhibition of common pathogenic microorganisms including Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Candida albicans, and Streptococcus hemolyticus.
